Most Indian creators set their Reel price from three numbers: their average Reel views, their engagement rate and the effort a brief needs. There is no official rate card in India, so the smartest approach is to start from your own data, sanity-check it against market ranges, then publish a clear rate card with packages. This guide shows indicative ranges and a simple method to price yourself.
Indicative Instagram Reel rates in India
The table below shows rough market ranges for one sponsored Reel. Real quotes can fall well outside these bands depending on niche, engagement, season and demand. They are not FNF Media rates.
| Creator tier | Followers | Indicative fee per Reel |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1K to 10K | Barter to around ₹10,000 |
| Micro | 10K to 100K | Around ₹5,000 to ₹50,000 |
| Mid-tier | 100K to 500K | Around ₹30,000 to ₹1.5 lakh |
| Macro | 500K to 1M | Around ₹1 lakh to ₹4 lakh |
| Mega | 1M and above | Around ₹3 lakh upwards |

A simple formula to set your Reel price
- Find your average Reel views for your last 10 to 15 Reels, ignoring one-off viral outliers.
- Pick a starting rate per 1,000 views that suits your niche. Entertainment and meme content usually sits lower per view, while finance, tech, beauty and parenting creators can charge more because their audiences buy more.
- Multiply: average views ÷ 1,000 × your rate per 1,000 views = your base Reel price.
- Adjust for engagement: if your comments, saves and shares are well above your niche, price higher.
- Add effort: scripts, locations, extra outfits, actors or professional edits increase the price.
Then compare your number with the ranges above and with what similar creators charge. If you are far above, expect fewer deals. If you are far below, you are leaving money on the table.
How to price Stories, posts and bundles
- Story set (2 to 3 frames): usually priced lower than a Reel because it disappears in 24 hours. Link stickers add value for performance briefs.
- Static post or carousel: often a little below a Reel unless your carousels perform very well.
- Bundles: offer packages such as one Reel plus a Story set, or three Reels across a month, at a small discount per item. Brands like predictable packages.
- Meme pages: price by page size and average engagement, and offer bundles across your network of pages if you run several.
Charge separately for usage rights and exclusivity
Two add-ons are often forgotten:
- Usage rights: if the brand wants to run your Reel as a paid ad or use it on its own channels, charge extra and limit the period, for example 30 or 90 days.
- Exclusivity: if you cannot work with competitors for a period, that costs you other deals, so add a premium for it.
Rate card template
| Package | What is included | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Single Reel | 1 Reel, 1 revision, link in bio for 24 hours | ₹ your base rate |
| Reel + Stories | 1 Reel and a 3-frame Story set with link sticker | ₹ base rate + Story price, small discount |
| Monthly bundle | 3 Reels and 3 Story sets over 4 weeks | ₹ bundle price |
| Usage rights | Brand can run content as ads for 30 days | + a percentage of the base rate |
| Exclusivity | No competing brand in the category for 30 days | + a percentage of the base rate |
When should you accept barter?
Barter can make sense when you are starting out, when you genuinely want the product, or when the brand is valuable for your portfolio. Once you have consistent views and a few paid collaborations, move to paid deals and keep barter as an exception.
Share your best rate to get shortlisted faster
Agencies plan campaigns against a fixed budget. Creators with clear, competitive pricing are easier to shortlist and usually get more deals over a year. When you register with FNF Media, add your expected rate per Reel or post so our team can match you to briefs that fit your price.
